Arched concrete bell tower with staircase and night LED lighting
For the village of Jánovce near Poprad, we produced custom-made concrete precast elements for the new bell tower, an arched bell carrier that becomes the dominant feature of the entire village when illuminated at night. The bell tower consists of two massive concrete legs converging into an arch in which a bell with a cross is suspended. Concrete steps lead to the foot of the bell tower and create a dignified access area.
We made the entire object by hand in our factory in Hranovnica - from the production of molds for the arch legs to the final surface treatment of the stair steps. The freedom of form of concrete allowed us to produce arches with a precise radius corresponding to the architectural design, without compromises in geometry or surface.
The bell tower in Jánovce has integrated LED lighting, which at night transforms the concrete object into a sacred light element visible from the entire village. The warm LED light radiating from inside the arch emphasizes the shape of the structure and the bell - an effect that cannot be fully expressed in photographs or words, it must be experienced live.
