For a family house, a landing measuring 100 × 100 centimeters is sometimes sufficient, while at the entrance to an apartment building or commercial building, the landing may be several times larger.
A landing connects two flights of stairs at a point of change of direction. In an external staircase, it is the point where the direction of walking changes, from a pedestrian going up to a pedestrian continuing in a different direction. With the correct design of the landing, it becomes a place where the pedestrian can rest for a moment, which is especially important in longer staircases or staircases for the elderly.
Landing surface and its importance
The surface of the entrance concrete landing is the place where the greatest pedestrian movement is concentrated when entering the building, and therefore also the place where wear and tear occurs the fastest. Therefore, we always recommend an anti-slip surface for entrance landings, stocking, washed concrete or micro washed surface treatment that increases friction even on wet surfaces.

When ordering concrete stairs, we always recommend that you deal with the landing at the same time. This will ensure that the material, concrete color shade and surface finishes match: the result will be visually compact and appear as a single unit. If you order the landing later or from a different manufacturer, it is almost impossible to match the concrete color.
