A large-format concrete slab is a paving precast product that differs from a regular slab in one key feature: its size. Where a standard slab is 40 × 40 or 50 × 50 centimeters, a large-format slab can be a meter wide, a meter and a half or more, depending on the project and technical capabilities.

Why large format plates and not standard ones?
A large-format slab has one fundamental aesthetic advantage over a series of smaller slabs: fewer joints. The joint between the slabs is necessary for thermal expansion, but from an aesthetic point of view it is an interruption of the surface. The fewer joints, the smoother and more elegant the surface. For representative entrance areas, luxurious terraces and architecturally ambitious public spaces, a minimum of joints is a key requirement.
A large-format plate is also a custom solution, its dimensions are manufactured precisely for a specific surface. This eliminates unnecessary cuts and filings that inevitably occur at the edges of the surface with standard plates. The result is cleaner and more professional.
Technical aspects of large format plate production
A larger plate size means more weight and greater demands on reinforcement and concrete composition. The plate must be strong enough not to bend or crack under load. We design the plate thickness, type of reinforcement and concrete composition individually for each order.
Integrating LED lighting into large format slabs is an option that is increasingly requested by customers when using these slabs as stairs. The result is walkable areas that transform into illuminated surfaces at night with dramatic effect.
